Advantage Infiniti of Santa Monica
 T.J. Holterhoff, COO

I use all the Power Information Network reports, but I concentrate on those that give me real-time comparison numbers. Some of the reports, on both new and used deals, tell me if I am competitive or leaving money on the table. I recently altered my advertising because these reports showed my "Age of Buyer" was getting older and I was not reaching that critical younger buyer.

I use Power Information Network reports weekly. Our management staff sees how we compete in our market, with up-to-date info, not the old "out-of-date", "big picture" info supplied by manufacturers. We can quickly spot trends and make adjustments or validate our gut feelings about what is going on in the marketplace. Footprints help us visualize our customer base, and decide to stay the course with advertising, or strike out in a new direction.

We appreciate the service that PIN provides. You are doing a great job and are heading in the right direction - I like the use of automation - the more the better.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to comment on the Power Information Network (PIN) Reports. I feel this information is essential, especially in a very competitive market. I depend on this information -- probably more than any other information that is available from anyone.

Even though our information is available to me in just about any way I might want it, we cannot compare our performance data to the marketplace. Yes our manufacturers feed us information in many forms - but THEY DO NOT, in most cases, provide it in a format that is as useful and informative as the PIN Reports.

As a dealer I am most interested in how we stack up with other dealers, not only in our district, but also in a much larger area or marketplace. Specifically, in unit sales, various profitability measurements for the front and back end, inventory turnover by model, penetration, ROI by specific model (which of course ties in with both the availability and actual distribution of HOT models), demographics of the buyer, etc. The footprints are quite helpful; even more so when I can compare them to other data that is available.

Having a successful used car operation, we find your data invaluable. We depend on it - it allows us to compare ourselves to dealers across the board in every possible manner.

I read the PowerGram religiously everyday. It is a compilation of all the news in every other media source, in addition to bringing late breaking news.

Our market value forecasting process has been refined through the utilization of the data and expertise of Power Information Network.  This forecasting supports our vehicle sales at auction as well as our vehicle sales through Electronic Lease Vehicle Inventory System (E.L.V.I.S.).

Furthermore, PIN has enabled us to add a predictive element to our forecasting model and we continue to find additional applications and uses for this data throughout our remarketing processes.
